Your support isn't extra. It's everything.
I'm not running a campaign funded by lobbyists or special interests. That is not me. I'm not doing this for riches, pride, or ego. I'm doing this to positively impact everyday people, many of whom are my family, friends, and neighbors, who want transparency, accountability, and local leadership that listens.
Your donation goes straight into voter outreach, not corporate consultants. When you give to a grassroots campaign, no matter the amount, you're not funding a candidate. You're funding the ability to address real issues.
If you've ever wished your voice mattered in politics, this is how you make it happen.
Everyday is a choice.

Meet Ryan Daniels
Hello, I’m Ryan Daniels; a proud Marylander and native resident of St. Mary’s County.
My time in the military, especially as a decorated combat-wounded veteran, gave me a perspective I’ll never forget. When you’ve faced life and death, you understand what truly matters: taking care of each other. That same conviction drove me to serve veterans and first responders at home through non-profit organizations, as a consultant assisting veterans with their Department of Veterans Affairs disability claims, work as a Civil Servant for Patuxent River Naval Base, and traveling to Ukraine to volunteer in the Russian – Ukrainian war. It’s what drives me now to build a stronger community here at home.
And as a global traveler, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges and successes of different communities, which has shaped my vision of how we can improve St. Mary’s County. These experiences have given me a broader perspective on how to approach our local issues with a fresh, open-minded outlook, while never losing sight of what makes St. Mary’s County special.
Our county deserves determined leadership. Leadership that doesn’t just make promises, but delivers results. Like many of you, I’ve seen the gap between what was promised and what has actually been accomplished. That’s why I’m running to represent District 4 as your County Commissioner.
Why I’m Running
As Commissioner, I’ll work directly for you: overseeing county policies, managing the budget, safeguarding county property and services, and shaping local laws that impact our daily lives. Most importantly, I’ll be present – listening, engaging, and working side by side with our community.
My Philosophy
While I’m listed as a Democrat on the ballot, my approach is guided by utilitarian principles: doing what creates the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
This cuts through party politics and sets aside ideological purity to focus on one thing – what actually works. Effective leadership requires clear thinking and steady problem-solving – not empty rhetoric.
My Promises to You
People are Priority
I’m committed to putting people, especially veterans, whose sacrifices often go unrecognized, at the heart of every decision. I know that many of you feel that your concerns haven’t been addressed in the way you’d hoped. I will listen to you before deciding, put families and neighborhoods ahead of politics, and make every decision with fairness, respect, and accountability.
Communication
Good leadership starts with listening. I understand many of you feel unheard by your leaders. I will keep open lines of communication with our community, making sure people are informed, heard and respected, and insert myself into my community often. That means transparency in decisions, accessibility to those I serve, and honest conversations about the issues that matter most.
My Background
Everything I’ve done – whether in uniform, in public service, or in nonprofit leadership – has been rooted in one constant: a love for my family and friends, my community, and the people I serve.
